I invite all fellow foes of prosecutorial-fascist state Aspiring Governors Attorneys General to join me in an solemn toast, to whatever mole nailed Eliot Spitzer to a bunch of hookers.
And my biggest, most heartfelt congratulation goes out to the hookers themselves. Who wouldn’t be honored to partake in the destruction of the nation’s leading (non-federal, alas) prosecutorial tyrant?
The more “involved” they were with “infecting” Spitzer with this scandal, the greater they are, as patriotic Americans who single-handedly lowered the cost of doing business in the late great US of A.
How long till the ringleader gets her advance for a steamy bestseller about it? (And make no mistake, that would be a hell of a bestseller.)
Then the ringleader and her coterie could open their own joint in NV and be booked solid for two years immediately.
Btw, when can I reserve a copy?
:-)
Also: Say hello to Governor/ Tranzfatfuehrer Michael Bloomberg …
I’m told this is the real goods.
One time NSA intelligence analyst and Navy officer, Washington-based journalist, Wayne Madsen, reports:
“Defense sources have confirmed our March 11, 2008, report that Emperors Club VIP, the prostitution firm that entangled New York’s outgoing Governor Eliot Spitzer in a call girl ring, is viewed by US intelligence as a front for Israel’s intelligence agency, the Mossad.
“The sources claim that Spitzer was ‘outed’ for his aggressiveness in attacking money launderers connected to Russian-Israeli organized crime syndicates and other Wall Street malfeasance.”
In an earlier report, Madsen mentioned that
“There is also speculation that although Spitzer was implicated in the large international investigation of the Emperor’s VIP Club’s prostitution business, GOP dirty tricks operative Roger Stone figures in the case as a collateral agent provocateur. Stone has a history of badgering Eliot Spitzer and his elderly father, New York real estate magnate Bernard Spitzer.”
Madsen is like a left-wing version of Debkafile. You get the impression that 20 percent of his ‘leaks’ are the real goods, and the other 80 percent is complete crap (eg, Karl Rove as ‘America’s Joseph Goebbels’).
Stone did say in December to a radio host that Spitzer “will not serve out the remainder of his term,” but big deal. Spitzer had an extremely long list of enemies and any small subset of them would have had enough wherewithal to destroy Spitzer in whatever manner they wished.
Ken Langone was the one who took Spitzer down …
I will admit to sometimes allowing myself to be duped by unfounded rumours. The basis is most likely something that is on the record. Ringleader Mark Brener was denied bail due to $600,000 in cash and the Israeli passport found in his home, as proof of his flight risk.
In the spirit of unconfirmed allegations, how about this one just sent to me.
The Spitzer hit happened because he proposed to take over the three biggest bond insurers, and separate their mortgage backed security business from their AAA business, after Moody’s down-rated all three AAA insurors to junk.
MF
That’s a popular theory but I don’t think it’s very likely. The private eyes into Spitzer had to do months of work. Spitzer’s little-Caesarism on the bond insurance industry was much more recent, and furthermore, it was actually *the right thing to do.* Short-circuiting Paulson’s idiocy was necessary even if it took Spitzer to do it.
The bond insurers are still rated AAA by Moody’s and S&P. Fitch has been more aggressive, but I don’t think Fitch has cut them to junk.
